Sziget Festival is one of Europe’s biggest and most famous music festivals, held each August on the lovely Óbuda Island in the Hungarian capital, Budapest.
Sziget Festival has been canceled. You can read the full statement from the festival website here.
2020 will see Sziget celebrate its 28th anniversary, and it’s no wonder it’s been going that long when you consider the long list of incredible artists it has hosted throughout the decades, including the likes of Arctic Monkeys, Gorillaz, Kendrick Lamar, Muse, Ed Sheeran and Rihanna, who topped bills that featured over 1,000 artists from across the genres – rock, indie, dance and pop.
Along with the amazing music, there are also a whole range of other activities for festival-goers to enjoy, including a cinema, theatre, contemporary circus shows, sporting events, and even a beach along the Danube in which you can swim in.
